SWEET ORANGE
Citrus sinensis
The sweet orange tree is a small tree from the rutacea family. Grown in warm regions, it bears edible oranges 7 months in a year (October to April). Its sweet-scented essential oil is extracted from the peels through cold pressing. Sweet orange should not be mistaken for bitter orange.
